+## 🧪 What is LANDAU?
+
+**LANDAU** is an umbrella project that unites the efforts of the Russian open‑source community in the development of key system components.
+
+The project’s name pays tribute to the outstanding theoretical physicist and Nobel laureate **Lev Davidovich Landau** — the founder of a scientific school that educated generations of scientists. Just as Landau brought physicists together around new ideas, LANDAU aims to unite developers in building a common technological foundation.
