<title>ipc/mqueue: release notification resources during inode eviction</title>

mqueue_flush_file() removes an mq_notify() registration only when the
closing task belongs to the thread group stored in notify_owner.

A task in a separate thread group created with CLONE_FILES can register
SIGEV_THREAD notification and exit without closing the shared file table.
If another thread group then unlinks and last-closes the queue, -&gt;flush()
skips the registration and inode eviction loses the only pointers to its
resources.

The orphaned registration permanently retains the notification skb, its
netlink socket, a pid reference and a user namespace reference. An
unprivileged process can repeat the sequence with new queues and sockets.

No inode users remain during eviction. Remove any stale registration
there after dropping info-&gt;lock, since netlink_sendskb() may release the
final socket reference.

This bug creates an unkillable kernel resource leak by failing to free
netlink socket, PID, and user namespace references when a POSIX message
queue is evicted. An unprivileged process can exploit this leak
repeatedly to cause kernel memory exhaustion and lead to a DoS.

Pull vfs lookup updates from Christian Brauner:
"This refactors lookup_open() and adds vfs_lookup_open() for nfsd.

mnt_want_write() and parent locking are moved into lookup_open()
  itself.

audit_inode_child() is also now called in lookup_open() on failure.
That is the calling convention in vfs_create() and vfs_mkdir(), but
lookup_open() made no such call when atomic_open() should have created
a file and did not. And neither did the regular -&gt;create() path fwiw.

This also contains work to remove the unneeded excl argument from the
  -&gt;create() inode op"

The only time that 'false' is passed as the 'excl' arg to the -&gt;create
inode_operation is in lookup_open() when -&gt;atomic_open is not provided
by the parent directory.
*all* directory inode_operations which do not have -&gt;atomic_open
completely ignore the 'excl' arg.

Therefore we don't need the 'excl' arg. Those few -&gt;create operations
which pay attention to the arg are only ever called with a value of
'true'.

We remove that arg and change all -&gt;create operations to behave as those
thhe arg were 'true'.

<title>Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument</title>

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\&lt;k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

<title>treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types</title>

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Pull pidfs updates from Christian Brauner:

 - pid: introduce task_ppid_vnr() helper

 - pidfs: convert rb-tree to rhashtable

Mateusz reported performance penalties during task creation because
pidfs uses pidmap_lock to add elements into the rbtree. Switch to an
rhashtable to have separate fine-grained locking and to decouple from
pidmap_lock moving all heavy manipulations outside of it

Also move inode allocation outside of pidmap_lock. With this there's
nothing happening for pidfs under pidmap_lock

 - pid: reorder fields in pid_namespace to reduce false sharing

 - Revert "pid: make __task_pid_nr_ns(ns =&gt; NULL) safe for zombie
   callers"

 - ipc: Add SPDX license id to mqueue.c
