The loop iterated only AMDGPU_MAX_MES_PIPES times, leaving entries
uninitialized for multi-XCC GPUs. This causes null pointer dereferences
when accessing arrays indexed by XCC ID >= 2. Extend the loop to cover
all XCCs (AMDGPU_MAX_MES_PIPES * num_xcc), matching other per-XCC
arrays.

After moving TBA/TMA from GTT to VRAM for GFX9.4.2+ in commit
5088a1ba6d6d ("drm/amdkfd: move TBA/TMA from system to device memory"),
direct pointer dereferences to CWSR buffers became unsafe because VRAM
is accessed via MMIO (PCI BAR mappings).
Direct writes like 'tma[2] = enabled' and memcpy() can fail or
produce incorrect results on non-x86 architectures because:
- MMIO requires specific accessor functions (writeq/readq)
- Compiler optimizations may generate invalid instruction sequences
- No guarantee of proper memory barriers or atomic access
This patch converts CWSR buffer access to use struct iosys_map,
which automatically handles both system memory (GTT) and MMIO
(VRAM) correctly by:
- Using writeq/writel/memcpy_toio for MMIO regions
- Using WRITE_ONCE/memcpy for system memory
- Providing proper memory barriers and access guarantees
Changes:
- Replace void *cwsr_kaddr with struct iosys_map cwsr_map
- Detect MMIO vs system memory using TTM_BO_MAP_IOMEM_MASK
- Use iosys_map_wr() for writing trap handler addresses and flags
- Use iosys_map_memcpy_to() for copying CWSR ISA code
This ensures correct operation on all architectures while maintaining
backward compatibility with older GPUs and APUs that use GTT.

usbio_disconnect() walks usbio->cli_list in reverse and uninitializes each
auxiliary device. auxiliary_device_uninit() drops the device reference, and
for an unbound child that can run usbio_auxdev_release() and free the
containing struct usbio_client.
list_for_each_entry_reverse() advances after the loop body by reading
client->link.prev. If the current client is freed by
auxiliary_device_uninit(), the iterator dereferences freed memory.
Use list_for_each_entry_safe_reverse() so the previous client is
cached before the body can drop the final reference. This preserves
reverse teardown order while keeping the next iterator cursor independent
of the current client's lifetime.

This reverts commit b145c3f29d62f71cc9d2d714e2d4ae4c8d3f863d.
The deduplication logic appears to cause issues with separate
SBU muxes. The mode-switch call on these (like gpio-sbu-mux)
never appeared, so no successful mode-switch happened. The more
high-end Parade PS883X redrivers are not affected due to being
retimer-switch. The revert fixes dp altmode mode-switch for both.

Lenovo Ideapad 5 2in1 14Q8X9

Introduce typec_cable_altmode_unsupported function to evaluate whether an
alternate mode is restricted based on the connected cable's properties.
Implement validation logic that parses the cable's identity to catch
incompatible setups early. Alternate modes are restricted over:
- cables lacking an identity header
- passive cables with USB 2.0 speed
- active cables unless they have corresponding plugs
The function returns false if the cable is not registered or the identifier

its capability
Some docks/Type-C dongles expose a malformed DP Capabilities VDO: they
claim a DFP_D (source) or UFP_D (sink) capability but leave the
corresponding pin assignment field empty. Such a device can never have
Alt Mode configured. Currently the driver still proceeds, which is
misleading and offers no diagnostic.
Per VESA DPAM v2.1a Section 5.4.1 (Table 5-6):
Case 1 (receptacle): A DP Source device receptacle (DFP_D) declares its
lane routing in the DP Source Pin field (Bits 15:8); a DP Sink device
receptacle (UFP_D) declares its lanes in the DP Sink Pin field
(Bits 23:16).
Case 2 (direct-attach plug): A DP Sink device plug (UFP_D) declares its
lane routing in the DP Source Pin field (Bits 15:8), and a DP Source
device plug (DFP_D) declares its lanes in the DP Sink Pin field
(Bits 23:16).
In either case the field holds the supported pin assignment values
(e.g. C/D/E); 00000000b means no pin assignment is supported for that
capability.
Reject such a DP Alt Mode VDO in dp_altmode_probe(): if the claimed
capability has no matching pin assignments, fail probe with -ENODEV,
releasing the SOP' plug reference on the error path.

Replace reset_control_assert()/deassert() with reset_control_reset().
For dwc3-xilinx, reset_control_reset() routes via the zynqmp reset
driver and uses PM_RESET_ACTION_PULSE, which performs assert and
deassert in firmware. This results in a single SMC call issuing a
reset pulse and taking the IP out of reset.

`iio_event_getfd()` creates the event file descriptor with
`anon_inode_getfd()`, which allocates a new fd, creates the anonymous
file and installs it in the process fd table before returning to the
caller.
The IIO code resets the event FIFO after `anon_inode_getfd()` has returned,
but before `IIO_GET_EVENT_FD_IOCTL` has copied the fd number to userspace.
But since fd tables are shared between threads, another thread can guess
the newly allocated fd number and issue a `read()` on it as soon as the fd
has been installed.
This means the `kfifo_to_user()` in `iio_event_chrdev_read()` can run in
parallel with the `kfifo_reset_out()` in `iio_event_getfd()`.
The kfifo documentation says that `kfifo_reset_out()` is only safe when it
is called from the reader thread and there is only one concurrent reader.
Otherwise it is dangerous and must be handled in the same way as
`kfifo_reset()`.
If that happens, `kfifo_to_user()` can advance the FIFO `out` index based
on state from before the reset, after the reset has already moved the `out`
index to the current `in` index. That can leave the FIFO with an `out`
index past the `in` index. A later `read()` can then see an underflowed
FIFO length and copy more data than the event FIFO buffer contains. This
can result in an out-of-bounds read and leak adjacent kernel memory to
userspace.
Move the FIFO reset before `anon_inode_getfd()`. At that point the event fd is
marked busy, but the new fd has not been installed yet, so userspace cannot
access it while the FIFO is reset.

The chaoskey driver has a use-after-free bug in its release routine.
If the user closes the device file after the USB device has been

The driver's last reference to the interface structure is dropped in
the chaoskey_free() routine, so the code must not use the interface --
even in a debugging statement -- after that routine returns.
(Exception: If we know that another reference is held by someone else,
such as the device core while the disconnect routine runs, there's no
problem. Thanks to Johan Hovold for pointing this out.)
Since the bad access is part of an unimportant debugging statement,
we can fix the problem simply by removing the whole statement.

clk_get_rate() can return 0 when the clock provider is not properly
configured or the clock is unmanaged. The driver uses wdt_freq as a
divisor directly in airoha_wdt_probe() to compute max_timeout and in
airoha_wdt_get_timeleft() to compute the remaining time, which results
in a division by zero.
Add a check for wdt_freq == 0 in probe and return -EINVAL with
dev_err_probe() to prevent the division by zero and provide a
diagnostic message.

When a watchdog governor is unregistered, it updates existing watchdog
devices that were using this governor by falling back to `default_gov`.
If the governor being unregistered is currently set as `default_gov`,
the `default_gov` is never cleared. This leads to 2 use-after-free
issues:
1. New watchdog devices registered after this point will inherit the
dangling `default_gov`.
2. Existing watchdog devices using the unregistered governor will have
their `wdd->gov` reassigned to the dangling `default_gov`.
Fix the UAF by clearing `default_gov` if it matches the governor being
unregistered.

The ov7740_remove() function had a severe teardown order bug where it
destroyed the driver's mutex before freeing the V4L2 control handler
which relies on that mutex, leading to a use-after-destroy kernel panic.
Furthermore, the driver explicitly called v4l2_ctrl_handler_free() and
mutex_destroy() sequentially, but then called ov7740_free_controls()
which invokes both of them a second time, resulting in a double-free.
This patch fixes the issue by unregistering the subdevice first, and
relying exclusively on ov7740_free_controls() to safely tear down the
mutex and control handler in the correct order.

The ov7740_remove() function unconditionally called pm_runtime_get_sync()
but completely ignored the return value. If the device was already in an
error state or disconnected, this could lead to an unbalanced PM runtime
usage count or attempt to communicate with an unresponsive device.
Disable Runtime PM first, then see if the device is active, and if so,
power it off.

The ov02a10_check_hwcfg() function calls fwnode_handle_put(ep)
immediately after allocating and parsing the endpoint. However, it
subsequently calls fwnode_property_read_u32() using the same 'ep'
handle, leading to a potential use-after-free.
Additionally, reading the optional 'ovti,mipi-clock-voltage' property
used to overwrite the 'ret' variable. If the property was missing,
'ret' would become negative, and this failure code would be incorrectly
returned at the end of the function, causing probe to fail entirely.
Fix the use-after-free by moving fwnode_property_read_u32() before
the endpoint is parsed and freed. Avoid the error leak by not
assigning the result of fwnode_property_read_u32() to 'ret'.
