2026-07-28clk: tegra: tegra124-emc: put EMC node on register failureGuangshuo Li
tegra124_clk_register_emc() stores a device node reference returned by of_parse_phandle() in tegra->emc_node. If clk_register() fails, the function returns an error before that reference can be consumed and released by the normal runtime path. The tegra_clk_emc object is freed on this failure path, but freeing the object does not drop the OF node reference stored in it. Drop the EMC node reference before freeing the tegra_clk_emc object. of_node_put() is safe for a NULL node, so this also covers the case where the phandle is absent. 2026-06-29clk: tegra: Support unique names for multi-socket platformsJon Hunter
On multi-socket platforms each socket has its own BPMP which exposes the same clock names. Fix this by using the NUMA ID as a prefix for the clock names on multi-socket platforms. Use 'sizeof(info->name)' in the strscpy() and snprintf() functions to future proof against anyone changing the size of the 'name' array. 2026-02-21Convert more 'alloc_obj' cases to default GFP_KERNEL argumentsLinus Torvalds
This converts some of the visually simpler cases that have been split over multiple lines. I only did the ones that are easy to verify the resulting diff by having just that final GFP_KERNEL argument on the next line. Somebody should probably do a proper coccinelle script for this, but for me the trivial script actually resulted in an assertion failure in the middle of the script. I probably had made it a bit _too_ trivial. So after fighting that far a while I decided to just do some of the syntactically simpler cases with variations of the previous 'sed' scripts. 2026-02-21Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argumentLinus Torvalds
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' | xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/' to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL argument to just drop that argument. Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered: they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically. This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...) 2026-01-17clk: tegra: Set CSUS as vi_sensor's gate for Tegra20, Tegra30 and Tegra114Svyatoslav Ryhel
The CSUS clock is a clock gate for the output clock signal primarily sourced from the VI_SENSOR clock. This clock signal is used as an input MCLK clock for cameras. Unlike later Tegra SoCs, the Tegra 20 can change its CSUS parent, which is why csus_mux is added in a similar way to how CDEV1 and CDEV2 are handled. 2026-01-17clk: tegra: Adjust callbacks in tegra_clock_pmRafael J. Wysocki
System suspend and resume callbacks run after the core has bumped up the runtime PM usage counters of all devices, so these callbacks need not worry about runtime PM reference counting. Accordingly, to eliminate useless overhead related to runtime PM usage counter manipulation, set the suspend callback pointer in tegra_clock_pm to a wrapper around pm_runtime_resume() called tegra_clock_suspend() and do not set the resume callback in it at all. Several drivers can benefit from registering per-instance data along with the syscore operations. To achieve this, move the modifiable fields out of the syscore_ops structure and into a separate struct syscore that can be registered with the framework. 2023-07-19clk: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. Commit 493ffb046cf5 ("clk: tegra: super: Switch to determine_rate") replaced clk_super_round_rate() by clk_super_determine_rate(), but didn't update one callsite that was explicitly calling the old tegra_clk_super_ops.round_rate() function, which was now NULL. This resulted in a crash on Tegra30 systems during early boot. Switch this callsite over to the clk_super_determine_rate() equivalent to avoid the crash. However, it could also be an explicit decision by the original author to avoid any reparenting but through an explicit call to clk_set_parent(). The driver does implement round_rate() though, which means that we can change the rate of the clock, but we will never get to change the parent. However, It's hard to tell whether it's been done on purpose or not. Since we'll start mandating a determine_rate() implementation, let's convert the round_rate() implementation to a determine_rate(), which will also make the current behavior explicit. However, the most likely candidates to trigger that parent change are either the assigned-clock-parents device tree property or a call to clk_set_rate(), with determine_rate() figuring out which parent is the best suited for a given rate. The other trigger would be a call to clk_set_parent(), but it's far less used, and it doesn't look like there's any obvious user for that clock. However, the upstream device trees seem to use assigned-clock-parents on that clock to force the parent at boot time, so it's likely that the author intent was to force the parent through the device tree and prevent any reparenting but through an explicit call to clk_set_parent(). This case would be equivalent to setting the determine_rate implementation to clk_hw_determine_rate_no_reparent(). Indeed, if no determine_rate implementation is provided, clk_round_rate() (through clk_core_round_rate_nolock()) will call itself on the parent if CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT is set, and will not change the clock rate otherwise. 2023-06-08clk: tegra: super: Add a determine_rate hookMaxime Ripard
The Tegra super mux clock implements a mux with a set_parent hook, but doesn't provide a determine_rate implementation. This is a bit odd, since set_parent() is there to, as its name implies, change the parent of a clock. However, the most likely candidates to trigger that parent change are either the assigned-clock-parents device tree property or a call to clk_set_rate(), with determine_rate() figuring out which parent is the best suited for a given rate. The other trigger would be a call to clk_set_parent(), but it's far less used, and it doesn't look like there's any obvious user for that clock. However, the upstream device trees seem to use assigned-clock-parents on that clock to force the parent at boot time, so it's likely that the author intent was to force the parent through the device tree and prevent any reparenting but through an explicit call to clk_set_parent(). This case would be equivalent to setting the determine_rate implementation to clk_hw_determine_rate_no_reparent(). Indeed, if no determine_rate implementation is provided, clk_round_rate() (through clk_core_round_rate_nolock()) will call itself on the parent if CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT is set, and will not change the clock rate otherwise.
